Documented is excited to announce the opening of the application process for the 2026 Building Bridges: An Immigrant Media Training Program. This program supports local newsrooms across the United States and its territories, helping them better serve immigrant communities.

This program will select six newsrooms in 2026, with additional cohorts to be selected in 2027 and 2028.
🎁 Benefits of Documented Media Training
- $10,000 Stipend: Each selected newsroom will receive a stipend to launch their editorial product.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to:
- Newsrooms of any business model (nonprofit, for-profit, community-based, or university-affiliated) that demonstrate a commitment to serving immigrant communities or community-driven journalism.
- Reporters, producers, editors, and managers working in any newsroom in the United States and its territories who are committed to better serving immigrant communities.
- Staffing Requirements:
- One full-time employee must be available to participate in the virtual weekly sessions.
- One part-time or full-time employee must be dedicated to supporting project development, fundraising, and sustainability.
