Organic Phosphorus Workshop 2026

We are excited to announce the upcoming Organic Phosphorus Workshop 2026, which will be held in Charlottetown, Canada, from July 13-17, 2026. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas with the international scientific community involved in organic phosphorus research across diverse ecosystems.

Workshop History

The meeting will build on the four previous workshops held in:

• Switzerland (2003)
• Panama (2013)
• UK (2016)
• Chile (2023)

Three years will have passed since our last workshop in Púcon, Chile, and since then, the field has evolved with new challenges and opportunities.

Workshop Focus

In 2026, we will explore how to address these developments and further our understanding of organic phosphorus in soils and water. The scientific sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including:

• Environmental impacts of organic phosphorus on water quality
• Organic phosphorus and carbon-nitrogen dynamics in soils
• Plant/soil/microbial interactions
• Analytical methods for organic phosphorus
