Heart Failure Up North: Practical Approaches to the Management of Congestive Heart Failure
Course Description
This course will focus on heart failure as seen in daily clinical practice. The program will be primarily case-based, with a few supplemental lectures covering essential topics such as heart failure fundamentals, novel therapies, hospital readmission, and advanced heart failure. Plan to spend 2.5 days with faculty for an update on heart failure management while enjoying the land of 10,000 lakes.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the clinical syndrome of heart failure and identify those at risk.
- Describe typical diagnostic testing essential for the diagnosis and management of heart failure.
- Apply appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic strategies for patients across the spectrum of heart failure.
- Determine when referral for advanced heart failure therapies is indicated.
