About the Conference Chair
Eng. Doct. Carlo Viberti, President of Spaceland, Italy, will serve as the Conference Chair for ASTROSUMMIT-2026.
With nearly four decades of experience, Carlo Viberti has contributed extensively to:
- Microgravity STEM research
- Space exploration
- Science payload development
- Astronaut training and operations
Key Milestones in Carlo Viberti's Career:
- 1989: Led and conducted zero-gravity research campaigns underwater and on weightless flights, supporting NASA, ESA, and Russian segments of the International Space Station.
- 2000: Nominated as the first private Cosmonaut-Engineer candidate by the U.S.–Russian MIR Corp, marking the dawn of private-sector access to space environments.
- Conducted record-setting missions and educational outreach efforts aboard NASA flight campaigns under the SpaceLand program.
- Biomedical research on behalf of a Nobel Prize Laureate, inspiring groundbreaking SpaceLand Cities projects featuring Mars Village analogs and public Aerospace Ports in Mauritius and Italy.
Vision and Goals:
- Democratize access to Moon-gravity, Mars-gravity, and zero-gravity STEM research and training.
- Bridge the gap between space and society while nurturing eco-sustainable innovation for life on Earth.
- Support long-term goals such as human settlement on Mars and novel R&D in longevity and green construction techniques for sustainable living on Earth.
