This study investigates the dynamics of R&D alliance networks in China's industry-university-research institute (IUR) collaborations using two-mode network analysis. Analyzing joint patent data, the study constructs collaboration, knowledge, and inter-organizational technology networks to examine their evolution and identify key players. Findings reveal no permanent "superstars" but distinct collaboration modes across different periods (formation, growth, mature), with varied technology class aggregation. The study offers recommendations for enhancing IUR collaboration success.
