This paper proposes a triangulation approach for constructing causal loop diagrams (CLDs) by integrating group model building (GMB), literature review, and causal discovery. Using a case study on depressive symptoms in response to stressors, the authors demonstrate that triangulation leads to more comprehensive CLDs, modified feedback structures, and increased transparency regarding evidence uncertainty. This approach enhances the quality of CLDs, advancing our understanding of complex diseases.
