This study estimates the seasonal and spatial occupation of pinnipeds at the Wildlife Refuge of Ilha dos Lobos (WRIL) in Brazil, based on aerial photographic censuses from 2010 to 2018. Subadult male South American sea lions were most abundant, with a peak of 304 pinnipeds observed in September 2018. Spatial analysis showed pinnipeds concentrated in the northern part of the island. The study confirms WRIL's importance as a haulout site and recommends managing human activities to minimize disturbance.
