Abstract
This article evaluates the impact of an art-based program on academic achievements, creativity, and creative behaviors using a quasi-experimental design with propensity score matching. The study, involving 297 children aged 14-16, found that participation in at least two semester-length workshops significantly improved academic grades (0.61 SD for language, 0.36 SD for math, 0.33 SD for art, and 0.55 SD for overall GPA), increased willingness to pursue postsecondary education, enhanced creativity scores, and fostered creative behaviors like increased cultural activities.
