This research identifies and evaluates the technical, ethical, and regulatory challenges of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. It explores AI's vast potential applications, from diagnostics and care management to research, while highlighting challenges like data privacy, algorithmic bias, and health equity. The study examines the shortcomings of current national and international AI regulation and proposes recommendations for improved governance, emphasizing international cooperation and harmonized standards under the World Health Organization (WHO), potentially using EU regulations as a model.
