Esta publicación recopila artículos y ponencias de las jornadas "Repensando África. Reflexiones desde un enfoque multidisciplinar" celebradas en Sevilla y Granada en marzo de 2012. Su propósito es situar a África como centro de producción de conocimiento, desmantelar sesgos eurocéntricos, visibilizar movimientos sociales y experiencias africanas, y reforzar redes entre universidades andaluzas y africanas, sociedad civil y colectivos migrantes. A través de miradas de la antropología, economía, historia, comunicación, estudios de género, migraciones, hábitat y medioambiente, se cuestionan estereotipos sobre África, se analizan procesos históricos, económicos y políticos contemporáneos y se proponen vías de cooperación académica y social más horizontales.
