Abstract
This study investigated the effectiveness of parent-implemented interventions (PIIs) on children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in China and explored their impact on family quality of life. A randomized controlled trial (RCT) design was used, comparing an intervention group (35 parent-child pairs) receiving PII training with a control group (35 parent-child pairs). Results showed significant improvements in social communication abilities among children in the intervention group (p < 0.05) and significantly enhanced family quality of life (satisfaction) (p < 0.001). PIIs were found to be a cost-effective complement to professional rehabilitation, positively impacting the well-being of children with ASD and their families.
