Abstract
This study investigates the synergistic effect of electric field treatment (EFT) and copper for bacteria inactivation using a lab-on-a-chip device. In situ, single-cell level observations demonstrate enhanced bacterial inactivation, with EFT weakening bacteria and increasing their susceptibility to copper ion permeation. This synergistic effect is visually confirmed, paving the way for further development and application of this technology.
