Abstract
This research investigated the impact of political factors on poverty in developing nations. Using data from 1997 to 2022 across 24 developing countries, it examined the relationship between poverty (measured by income poverty index and Human Health Poverty Index) and political factors (corruption, democracy, governance, and political globalization). Employing Fixed Effect, System GMM, and 2SLS approaches, the study found that corruption positively correlates with poverty, while democracy and political globalization negatively correlate. Governance showed a mixed relationship.
