Abstract
This study investigates how public relations (PR) concepts benefit Critical Discourse Studies (CDS) research. Using van Leeuwen's integrationist model, it analyzes the use of "image," "stakeholder," and "strategy" in CDS journal article abstracts (2000-2020). The research argues that PR concepts instrumentalize CDS by providing analytical tools and aiding in interpreting management power and discursive patterns. The study offers insights into the interdisciplinary development of CDS and the reciprocal influence between PR and CDS.
