Abstract
This research investigates the impact of Dialogic Scientific Gatherings (DSGs) and scientific workshops on incarcerated individuals' scientific interest and life expectations. A communicative case study in a Catalan prison involved 19 male inmates participating in DSGs and workshops. Data from communicative observations and interviews revealed that these activities fostered scientific interest, provided meaningful learning experiences, and transformed participants' interactions both inside and outside prison, suggesting the potential for positive change in this traditionally excluded population.
