Abstract
This paper reports a high-throughput strategy for optimizing zwitterion-based hydrogel coatings to improve their mechanical stability and drug-loading capacity. The method combines miniaturized hydrogel synthesis and screening, enabling efficient evaluation of numerous coating combinations. The study found that incorporating HEMA significantly enhanced the stability of zwitterionic hydrogels, and optimal crosslinker molecular weight and concentration were identified. The high-throughput approach successfully revealed composition/structure-function relationships, accelerating the development of improved implantable device surfaces.
