Abstract
This paper experimentally demonstrates the separation of wave and particle attributes of a single photon using the quantum Cheshire cat concept and weak measurement. By employing an improved Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) with specific pre- and post-selection states, the authors successfully extract weak values of different operators, confirming the spatial separation of wave and particle attributes. The results provide new insights into wave-particle duality and offer a new approach to investigating fundamental quantum mechanics.
