This research developed a novel exosome-based platform for profiling biological processes from various body fluids. The platform is applicable for diagnosing and studying Space Associated Neuro-Ocular Syndrome (SANS) and monitoring patients with intracranial pressure issues. The study demonstrated that exosomes from different biofluids contain specific RNA transcripts; ISS urine collection hardware is compatible with the technology; and cDNA libraries from exosomal RNA can be stored dry at room temperature for longitudinal molecular cataloging.
