Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of a successor's marriage on family business intergenerational inheritance in China, focusing on the concept of a 'well-matched marriage'. Using literature analysis and case studies of Haixin Steel and Smart Hero, the study finds that well-matched marriages significantly enhance social capital, improve business performance, and facilitate successful inheritance, while mismatched marriages can lead to negative consequences.
