Abstract

This Official ATS Workshop Report addresses the lack of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the pediatric pulmonology workforce. A needs assessment survey and a two-day workshop identified barriers and opportunities for recruitment, training, and career development of underrepresented in medicine (URiM) groups. The report offers strategies and resources to improve recruitment of URiM residents, mentorship of trainees, and career development of URiM faculty.
