Partitioned methods are widely used for multiphysics and large-scale structure-media problems due to their ability to decompose complex systems into smaller subsystems. This paper addresses implementation difficulties in partitioned methods and proposes a new staggered approach. This approach treats each program as a "black box," interacting only through interface boundary displacements and forces. The accuracy and stability of the method are numerically evaluated, and a practical method for determining the maximum stable time step is presented. Two application examples demonstrate the algorithm's potential.
