This paper presents the development of a bimodal artificial sensory neuron (BASE) capable of visual-haptic fusion. The BASE integrates optic and pressure information via a synaptic transistor, enabling multi-level excitation through synchronized sensory cues. This allows for the control of skeletal myotubes and a robotic hand. Simulations demonstrate enhanced pattern recognition capabilities with fused cues. The biomimetic design holds promise for advancements in cyborg and neuromorphic systems.
