To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a master’s degree with 2–6 years of professional working experience.
  • Nationality: Must hold citizenship of a World Bank Group member country (verified via passport or equivalent document).
  • Degree Completion:
    • A master’s-level degree or equivalent in a relevant field must be completed before September 1, 2026.
    • Doctoral candidates must have substantially completed their research and submitted all written work by the same date.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of spoken and written English (fluency in other languages is advantageous).
  • Employment Restrictions:
    • Cannot be a current World Bank Group staff member.
    • Cannot hold an ET or ST contract with the Bank.
    • Former Bank interns may apply if their internship ended on or before September 30, 2025.
  • Other Requirements: Must comply with the employment eligibility policy.
