✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Wesly Foundation Prize, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Individual or Team Applications:

   • Individuals or teams of up to four members can apply.
   • At least 50% of the team must meet all eligibility requirements.

2. Age Requirement:

   • Individual founders must be under 28 years old during the calendar year of application.
   • For teams, at least half of the founding members must meet the age requirement.

3. Residency:

   • Applicants must live, work, or attend school in California, or come from California and attend school elsewhere.
   • At least one individual founder or half of the co-founders must reside in California during the application and selection process.

4. Role:

   • Applicants must be the creator/founder or co-creator/founder of the innovation.
   • All co-founders must be listed on the application.

5. Geographic Scope of Innovation:

   • No restrictions; innovations can address challenges in any location.

6. Issue Focus:

   • Innovations must address a community challenge and have a strong social purpose.

7. Stage of Organization:

   • Must be in the early stage but have a working prototype.

8. Form of Organization:

   • Any organizational form is acceptable, as long as the social purpose is central.

9. Presentation Requirement:

   • At least one co-founder must be able to present remotely on January 24, 2026.
