The WashU Law AI Fellowship Program offers a unique opportunity for WashU Law students to engage directly with some of the most important and fast-moving issues in law and technology.

Designed for students with a strong interest in artificial intelligence, legal innovation, and public impact, the Fellowship Program provides practical experience, mentorship, and leadership opportunities through the WashU Law AI Collaborative. Fellows will contribute to real-world programming, cutting-edge research, and community-building efforts that advance WashU Law's leadership in AI and legal education.

๐ Fellow Responsibilities
Fellows will take on meaningful roles that support the Collaborativeโs mission, including:
Newsletter & Editorial Work:
- Draft and curate content for the WashU Law AI Collaborativeโs website and newsletter.
- Highlight faculty research, student writing, legal tech trends, and thought leadership.
CLE Research & Program Development:
- Support the research behind Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.
- Help identify timely topics in AI law, ethics, and regulation.
Blog & Publication Writing:
- Author short-form articles or blog posts for publication on WashU platforms and partner sites.
- Topics may include generative AI in legal practice, tech policy, algorithmic bias, and more.
Alumni & Industry Engagement:
- Assist with outreach to alumni working in legal tech, innovation, or policy.
- Support events or interviews that showcase WashU alumni leaders in the field.

โ Fellowship Requirements
Applications are invited from 2Ls, 3Ls, LLM, and JSD students at WashU Law for the 2025 academic year. Ideal candidates will have:
- An interest in AI, technology, or emerging legal and ethical issues.
- Strong writing and research skills.
- A desire to help shape programming and content for public and professional audiences.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to a team.
Note: No technical background in AI is required. Students from all professional and academic backgrounds who are intellectually curious and eager to explore how technology is transforming the legal profession are welcome to apply.
