🌍 About WAN-IFRA Global Leadership Accelerator

The WIN Global Leadership Accelerator is a high-impact program aimed at empowering journalists and editors with leadership skills and career development opportunities. Since its inception in 2015, more than 1,500 journalists and editors have successfully completed the program.

Key Highlights:

• Designed for journalists with 5-10 years of newsroom experience.
• Focused on career progression: 60% of graduates report direct career advancement within 3 months of completion.
• Supported by a team of experienced directors, country managers, coaches, mentors, and trainers with newsroom leadership expertise.
• Includes contributions from guest trainers and experts from WAN-IFRA’s global media executive community.
• Participants will receive a certificate of completion with professional designation from WAN-IFRA.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• 5-10 years of direct newsroom experience as a journalist (reporter, correspondent, or editor).
• A demonstrated passion for the news media industry and a commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and press freedom principles.
• Identify as a woman and/or belong to a historically vulnerable or at-risk community.
• Be located outside of traditional WIN Accelerator markets.
• Strong spoken and written knowledge of English (the program will be delivered primarily in English).
• Ability to commit 1-2 hours per week for 21 weeks (candidates missing more than 20% of seminars will receive an incomplete).
