UNICEF is currently accepting applications for its Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Internship 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and communications work under the ECW program. Interns will analyze data and reports from ECW-supported programs, assist with the 2025 annual results report, and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The UNICEF Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Internship 2026 is designed to provide hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • Monitoring and evaluation of ECW-supported programs.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge-sharing and communications work.

๐Ÿ’ผ Benefits of the Internship

Interns will receive the following benefits:

  • Monthly stipend:
    • USD 1,700 in New York, Geneva, and Copenhagen.
    • 70% of GS level 3 step 1 salary in other duty stations.

โœ… Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Must be enrolled in a masterโ€™s program or have graduated from a bachelorโ€™s/masterโ€™s degree within the last 3 years.
  • Academic background in education, humanitarian/development, or social sciences.
  • Skills in data analysis:
    • Proficiency in Excel is required.
    • Knowledge of R, STATA, Power Query, or Kobo is encouraged.
  • Experience in synthesizing information and drafting global-level reports in English.
  • Lived experience in a low-middle income country is valued.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
  • No immediate relatives working in UNICEF or the ECW Secretariat.
  • Must comply with UNICEF Child Safeguarding Personnel Standards.
