✅ Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • Must be from invited Member States.

Age & Education

  • General Scholar: High school diploma, ≤ 45 years.
  • Senior Scholar: Master’s degree/associate professor, ≤ 50 years.
  • Master’s: Bachelor’s degree, ≤ 35 years.
  • Doctoral: Master’s degree, ≤ 40 years.

Language

  • English proficiency required.
  • HSK Level 3–4 for Chinese-taught programmes.

Health

  • Must be in good mental and physical health.

University Admission

  • Candidates meeting admission requirements of Chinese universities are prioritized.

📝 Application Date and Process

  1. Read Guidelines carefully.
  2. Contact the National Commission for UNESCO in your country for national-level procedures.
  3. Apply online via the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (campuschina.org).
  4. Submit documents to your National Commission by 23 January 2026.
  5. Nomination: Only applications nominated by National Commissions are accepted.
  6. Final Submission: National Commissions must send nominations to UNESCO by 10 February 2026.
