Objectives:
The grant aims to:
- Develop Talent Programmes: Support UK-Viet Nam partnerships to develop undergraduate and postgraduate Talent programmes, including joint PhDs, based on UK best practices.
- Facilitate Joint Research and Mobility: Enable UK and Vietnamese universities and businesses to collaborate on joint research, staff/researcher mobility, and transnational education programme development.
- Establish Sustainable Partnerships: Expand Talent programmes to more Vietnamese universities, positioning them as regional leaders in quality education and research collaboration.
🎯 Types of Projects
Projects can be discipline-specific or cross-disciplinary. They should address the needs of both countries and meet the criteria outlined in the Guidance Notes document. Potential outcomes include:
- Establishing a UK-Viet Nam Higher Education Consortium with a shared vision for Talent programmes.
- Providing seed funding for partnerships, including programme/curriculum development, staff mobility, and exchange.
- Hosting joint workshops and seminars on innovation, research, and industry-university-government partnerships.
- Developing Talent programmes to support human resource development in Viet Nam and expand the model to other higher education institutions.

- Lead Institutions: Must be higher education institutions in the UK with degree-awarding powers.
