📖 About the Programme
The SVRI Forum Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is a highly valued initiative aimed at supporting the next generation of researchers and practitioners. It helps early-career professionals prepare for and meaningfully participate in international events like the SVRI Forum 2026.
Through mentorship, the YPP assists participants in refining their ideas, strengthening their abstracts, and building confidence to share their work on a global stage.
For the first time, the programme is launching a pre-abstract submission call via Oxford Abstracts. This new model offers earlier and deeper support to a small cohort (4-6) of promising early-career researchers and practitioners, allowing mentorship to begin before the official abstract submission process opens.

📝 Programme Details
In 2025, a targeted call will invite early-career professionals to submit a short "pre-abstract" outlining the work they hope to present at the SVRI Forum 2026. Selected participants will be paired with a mentor from the SVRI Leadership Council or wider network and receive tailored support, including:
- Guidance on shaping and strengthening their abstract (framing, methodology, analysis, and recommendations).
- Feedback to refine their formal submission to the SVRI Forum 2026.
- Ongoing mentoring to prepare for their presentation if accepted, and, where possible, in-person engagement with their mentor at the Forum.

- All selected YPP participants will be supported to attend the SVRI Forum 2026 in Bangkok, regardless of whether their abstract is accepted.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the YPP pre-abstract mentoring programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be 35 years of age or younger (born in 1990 or later).
- Be working in an area linked to an SVRI Forum 2026 theme.
- Be committed to submitting an abstract to SVRI Forum 2026.
- Have not previously received support through this programme.
