Pure Ocean is an endowment fund created in 2017 in Marseille, France. Its primary mission is to support innovative applied research projects worldwide, contributing to the protection of fragile marine ecosystems and biodiversity.

🎁 Benefits of Pure Ocean Fund Projects

• Selected projects will receive up to €40,000/year (average €25,000/year) for a period of one to two years, at the discretion of the Scientific Committee.
• A two-year project can receive a maximum of €80,000, and the support for certain projects may be renewed.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Only non-profit organizations (NGOs, universities, research institutes) are eligible to apply and receive funding. However, the project may involve collaboration with private for-profit actors (e.g., companies, start-ups).
• Applicants must:
  • Clearly outline their co-financing opportunities in their budget.
  • Include a minimum operating budget in case Pure Ocean cannot grant the full amount requested.
