Pro Helvetia has opened applications for its Residency in Switzerland 2027. This program is designed for artists and cultural practitioners who wish to immerse themselves in a different daily context for up to three months.

Residencies are aimed at providing artists and cultural practitioners with the opportunity to engage in a new environment. The program is conducted in collaboration with a network of partners active in various artistic fields and formats.
🎁 Benefits of Pro Helvetia Residency in Switzerland
The program offers the following benefits:
- Accommodation
- Travel costs
- Daily allowances
- Coach: A cultural professional from the local artistic field to facilitate networking and exchange
- Workstation (on request)
- Contribution towards production/material costs (on request)
- Additional financial support of up to CHF 1,000 per month for childcare or travel expenses for children and, if necessary, a carer. This applies even if the child/children stay at home. Applicants must present a budget of all expenses in advance.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
The residency is open to:
- Artists and cultural practitioners from the regions of the liaison offices, including:
- Arab region
- East Asia
- South America
- South Asia and Vietnam
- West Africa
- Central Africa
- East Africa
- Southern Africa
- Applicants active in any of the disciplines supported by Pro Helvetia.
- Both individuals and artist duos are welcome to apply.

- Motivation explaining the professional interest in the selected destination
- Desired length of stay and chosen destination
- CV and portfolio
