🎁 Benefits
The maximum grant amount an applicant can request varies based on their region of residence, as determined by the corresponding IBRO Regional Committee:
- Africa: 3000 USD
- Asia-Pacific: 2000 USD
- Latin America region: 2500 USD
- Pan Europe: 4000 USD
- US/Canada: 3000 USD
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Early Career Principal Investigator:
- Maximum of 7 years in this role.
- Extended breaks from research (e.g., previous maternity or adoption leave) are accepted and should be justified in the application.

Publication Requirement:
- At least one published, peer-reviewed paper as the corresponding author.

Pregnancy, Birth, or Adoption:
- Applicants or their partner must:
- Be pregnant (at least 4 months).
- Have given birth in the last four months before the grant application deadline.
- Be close to adoption, assuming the role of the primary caregiver.

📋 Grant Specifications
- Proposed projects should be completed within one year from the proposed project start date.
- A required grant report must be submitted no later than 3 months following the conclusion of the proposed project.

- Grants Received: A list of grants received, including IBRO grants.
- Research Proposal: A detailed description of the research project for which IBRO support is requested.
- Motivation and Impact Statement: Explanation of motivation for applying and the impact of the funds on the research project and laboratory.
- Budget Request: A detailed budget breakdown specifying proposed items to be funded by IBRO.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): A copy of the applicant’s CV.
- Confirmation of Principal Investigator Status: Signed and dated letter from the institution confirming the applicant’s PI role.
- Confirmation of Pregnancy, Birth, or Adoption: Official letter confirming pregnancy, birth, or adoption.
- Terms and Conditions: Agreement with IBRO Privacy Policy and payment guidelines.
