The purpose of the Conferences, Symposia and Workshops programme is to provide both established and early career researchers, as well as practitioners, with opportunities to present and discuss the newest research and innovation activities within their fields.

💰 Benefits

• A total of up to DKK 9 million per year is available for grants.
• Each grant ranges between DKK 50,000 and DKK 500,000.

✅ Requirements

The following requirements must be met for an application to be eligible:

• The event must align with the purpose of the call and a field of research supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
• The main applicant must:
  • Be employed at a university, a non-profit research institution (e.g., a hospital or museum), or a non-profit professional association translating research, based within Denmark, The Faroe Islands, or Greenland.
  • Be a specific person and the lead organiser with relevant subject-matter competencies (e.g., a researcher at a university). Scientific societies or professional event organisers cannot apply.
• Events must take place in Denmark, The Faroe Islands, or Greenland.
• The event must be completed within 18 months of grant notification. Events planned later than this should apply at one of the upcoming calls of the programme.
• The programme call is open biannually.
• Applicants with major funding from NNF or other sources (DKK ≥ 10 million) must justify the need for additional funding from the CSW programme.
