๐ About NGFP Fellowship
The Next Generation Foresight Practitioners (NGFP) Fellowship invites a diverse group of visionary young professionals to explore the futures and foresight field. The fellowship is open to individuals and teams aged 18-35 who are beginning their journey in this field, as well as those over 35 with less than one year of experience in the sector.
What is Foresight?
Foresight is a systematic way of engaging with uncertainty by exploring alternative futures, including aspirational ones. It is not about predicting the future but understanding the current and future operating environment. Insights gained from foresight equip communities and organizations to recognize and respond to emerging threats and opportunities, fostering competitiveness, resilience, and agility.
Who is a Foresight Practitioner?
A foresight practitioner is anyone who uses a futures approach to:
- Explore and understand the impacts of long-term factors and drivers of change.
- Envision how different futures might evolve.
- Generate insights for decisions made today.
The fellowship seeks emerging practitioners who use futures and foresight in collaborative ways for social and environmental good.
