📖 About the Program

The LISC/Foot Locker Foundation Community Empowerment Program is launching its fifth round of grants to support nonprofit community organizations. These organizations aim to connect youth to mentorship, education, career development, and health services.

To date, the program has:

• Deployed nearly $5.2 million to empower 27,000 youth in low-to-moderate income communities.
• Built the capacity of 68 local nonprofits serving these communities.

🎁 Benefits of the Program

The program offers two types of grants:

1. Youth Programming Grants

   • Support current youth programming, create new programming, or extend existing programming.
   • Grant range: $25,000 to $75,000 over one year.

2. Capital Improvement Grants

   • Support capital improvement projects that enhance the impact of youth programming.
   • Grant range: $25,000 to $100,000 over one year.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

This funding opportunity is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that meet the following requirements:

• Serve youth in low-to-moderate income communities where support and opportunity are scarce.
• Deliver programs and services connecting youth to mentorship, education, career development, and health services.
• Have an organizational budget of $5 million or less.
• Maintain at least one full-time staff member focused on youth programming.
• Engage local Foot Locker store team members in volunteer activities tied to the proposed program.
• Operate in low-to-moderate income communities within the following 14 cities:

  • Chicago, IL
  • Dallas, TX
  • Detroit, MI
  • Houston, TX
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • New York City, NY
  • Newark, NJ
  • Oakland, CA

  • Tampa, FL
  • Washington, DC
