π About the Programme
The LEO Foundation aims to nurture the next generation of researchers and promote public understanding of science, particularly in medicine, chemistry, pharmacy, and skin health. This programme funds educational and awareness initiatives that meaningfully engage children, youth, and the wider public in scientific inquiry.
π Benefits
The LEO Foundation Education and Awareness Grant Programme provides funding for:
- Salaries for project staff.
- Specified operating and administrative costs (capped at 5%).
- Travel expenses and publication costs.
- Funding for revenue-generating activities, provided the business case is explained and any generated revenue is reinvested in the project.
β Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the grant, the following requirements must be met:
- Projects must be conducted within Denmark.
- Applicants may include schools, research institutions, NGOs, and organizations promoting STEM education.
- Individual students seeking personal educational support are not eligible.
- Only one application per applicant per call is allowed.
- Proposed projects must not have occurred prior to the notification of grant decisions.

Language Requirements:

- Applications undergo an initial screening.
- Reviewed by the LEO Foundation Grant Committee.
- If necessary, external peer review is conducted.
