Since its establishment, the Kokuyo Design Award has selected excellent product designs that reflect current social conditions. Award-winning works are turned into commercial products through collaboration between Kokuyo developers and the award winners. By delivering innovative designs to the world, Kokuyo aims to support the future activities of designers and bring a tomorrow you can't wait for.

More than 24 years have passed since the founding of the award, and over 20 products have been created to date. The award continues to evolve as a project that conveys value reflecting the times, rather than simply selecting and awarding designs.

🎁 Benefits of Kokuyo Design Award

Participants in the Kokuyo Design Award can win the following prizes:

Grand Prix (1 winner): ¥2,000,000 (approximately $14,000)
Merit Award (3 winners): ¥500,000 (approximately $3,500) per winner
New Generation Award (up to 10 winners): ¥30,000 (approximately $210) per winner

✅ Eligibility Criteria

The Kokuyo Design Award welcomes entries from:

Corporations, organizations, individuals, and groups, regardless of age, sex, professional background, or nationality.
Designs that have never been shown publicly (in Japan or other countries).
Eligible entries include stationery, furniture, or tools used in working, learning, and living scenes.
