📖 About KIWW World Water Challenge
The World Water Challenge is an international contest hosted by the Ministry of Environment of Korea and organized by the Korea Water Forum. It was established as a special program of the Science and Technology Process during the 7th World Water Forum to address pressing global water issues and identify feasible solutions based on the core value of "Implementation."
The challenge is one of the signature programs of the Korea International Water Week (KIWW). It serves as a platform to share innovative scientific and technological methods, as well as policies, to solve water-related challenges worldwide. Additionally, it fosters a broad network among experts, stakeholders, and solution providers in the water sector.

🎁 Benefits of KIWW World Water Challenge
- Up to 10 selected solution providers will be invited to the final round of the WWCH in Daegu, Korea. The final presentation and award ceremony will take place on November 13-14, 2025, during KIWW 2025.
- The "Best Prize" winner will have the opportunity to speak at the WWCH 2026.
- Travel and Accommodation:
- Round-trip airfare and accommodation will be provided for finalists.
- Travel and accommodation must align with WWCH 2025 dates. Extended personal travel will not be covered.
- Awards:
- Best Award: Up to 10,000,000 KRW (approximately $7,050 USD)
- Outstanding Award: Up to 3,000,000 KRW (approximately $2,100 USD)
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Anyone (individuals or organizations) interested in contributing to resolving water-related challenges with creative and applicable solutions is welcome to submit proposals to WWCH 2025's designated categories.
📝 Application Process
Candidates are required to submit solution proposals through the web-based system using the provided application form.
Key Requirements:
- Solution proposals must be submitted in English.
- A graphical abstract (e.g., schematic diagram, picture, animation) summarizing the solution must be submitted as a separate file.
- One person or organization can submit multiple proposals with different solutions.
- Submitted materials will not be returned and may be used or published (partially or wholly) by the secretariat.
