This initiative, funded through a USD 40,000 grant from the Hotel’s promoter, stems from the founder’s personal inspiration following a memorable encounter with Rwanda’s mountain gorillas. The publication will serve as a flagship educational and conservation reference, available in all guest rooms at the Hotel and on the hotel website, aimed at both local and international audiences.

  • Women researchers are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities of Selected Author(s):

  1. Conduct literature reviews, field visits, and interviews.
  2. Develop the book structure and write original, engaging, and scientifically accurate content.
  3. Submit a final printed manuscript ready for publication.
  4. Publish a peer-reviewed paper derived from the book content.

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with East African ecosystems and conservation efforts.
  • Ability to work independently in Rwanda.
