The International Civil Society Week (ICSW) is a flagship event that brings together global civil society to celebrate and address pressing issues. Co-organized by CIVICUS and the Asia Democracy Network, the 2025 edition will take place in Bangkok, Thailand.
This fellowship provides journalists with a platform to report on civic space and human rights while engaging with civil society leaders and organizations.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to journalists worldwide with an interest in civic space and human rights
- Journalist Fellowship: Open to journalists of any age with proven experience and a strong portfolio
- Young Journalist Fellowship: Open to journalists under 30, including citizen journalists and digital media reporters
- Strong commitment to publish at least two stories based on ICSW coverage
