📖 About the Program
The Master of Sciences program in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills in water management-related topics, including:
- Water security
- Hydrology
- Water infrastructure
- Urban water management
- Watershed management
- Flood and drought risk management
- Water system analysis
- Water governance
The program includes a Master's thesis, which is completed within the framework of a water-related research project at the Faculty or with a partner institution.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, agriculture, life sciences, architecture, or related fields.
- Minimum grade: 3.0 (German grading scale).
- At least 15 ECTS credits related to water management in prior studies.
- Proof of English proficiency:
- TOEFL iBT: 79
- IELTS Academic: 6.0
- Cambridge FCE (test not older than 5 years)
- DAAD EPOS applicants: Basic German knowledge is recommended.
📄 Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Letter of motivation (1 page in English).
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in tabular form.
- Research proposal for Master’s thesis (2 pages in English).
- Certified copies of:
- School leaving certificate.
- University transcripts and individual grade sheets.
- Bachelor’s diploma or degree certificate with final grades.
