The Department of Science & Technology, Government of India is inviting applications for the India–Austria Joint Research Projects Call for Scientific Collaboration 2026. This bilateral scientific collaboration initiative aims to strengthen research partnerships between India and Austria. It supports joint research projects that promote:

Indian Side

• Funding: Up to INR 15,00,000 per project
• Duration: 2 years

Austrian Side

• Funding: Up to EUR 15,000 per project
• Duration: 2 years

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Austrian Applicants

• Researchers in higher education institutions with a PhD
• Researchers in non-university research institutions with at least a Master’s degree
• Doctoral students (as team members only)

Priority Considerations

Preference will be given to:

• Early-career researchers
• PhD students
• Female researchers
• New research collaborations
