π About IJP Middle East / Germany Fellowship
The IJP Middle East / Germany Fellowship is designed to enable young journalists to gain early exposure to political issues in Germany. The program aims to:
- Raise awareness of the relations between Germany and the Middle East.
- Provide participants with personal insights into the mentality, culture, and everyday life in Germany and the European Union.

- One-time payment of 5,000 euros, which includes:
- Stipend money.
- 1,000 euros travel allowance.
- The funding is intended to cover most travel, food, and accommodation costs.
- Scholarship holders are expected to contribute to additional expenses.
β Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be working journalists.
- Be citizens and residents of countries within the Middle East, specifically:
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Lebanon
- Palestinian Territories
- Israel
- Be proficient in English.
