The IHE Delft Water and Development Partnership Programme, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers a limited number of scholarships aimed at capacity strengthening and nurturing a network of water professionals in focus regions and countries of the programme.

🎁 Benefits
The scholarships are available in two types: full and partial.
Full Scholarships Include:
- Tuition fee for the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development
- Insurance
- International travel costs
- A monthly allowance of €1,220 for living and accommodation expenses during the study period
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Academic admission to the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development.
- Living and/or working in one of the eligible countries.
- Agree to conduct MSc research in their country/region associated with one of the projects implemented by the programme.
- Actively participate in and contribute to seminars organized for the learning networks of the programme.
- Confirm their return to their country of origin or another priority country of the programme.
- Employer Statement:
- One of the two recommendation letters required for admission must be from the current employer and meet the following criteria:
- Written on official letterhead.
- Dated and signed.
- Should include:
- Explanation of how the applicant's knowledge and skills will benefit the organization.
- Confirmation that the applicant will return to the organization after completing the MSc study at IHE.
- Indication of involvement in projects funded by the Water and Development Partnership Programme (if applicable).
- One of the two recommendation letters required for admission must be from the current employer and meet the following criteria:
Note: Only if one of the recommendation letters meets these requirements will the applicant be eligible for the scholarship selection process.
📅 Application Date and Process
- No separate application form is required for this scholarship.
- Nationals from eligible countries who meet the criteria will automatically be considered after applying for admission and receiving their academic admission letter.
- Due to limited scholarships, applicants are advised to apply for other scholarships as well, including partial scholarships.
- Applicants eligible for the Rabbani scholarship are encouraged to apply for it.
- Brush up on English language skills and sign up for an English language test (if required) as it is mandatory for final admission and scholarship eligibility.
Important: If sufficient English test results are not received before 1 June 2026, the applicant will not be eligible for the scholarship.
