HZDR Summer Student Program 2026
The Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) is now accepting applications for its fully funded Summer Student Program 2026. This program is designed for senior university students worldwide in the fields of natural sciences, life sciences, medicine, technology, and related disciplines.

The HZDR Summer Student Program 2026 is a fully funded summer research program hosted in Dresden, Germany. It offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on research experience in a world-class research environment.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be an enrolled senior student (PhD students are not eligible).
- Demonstrate strong academic performance (grades and a recommendation letter are required).
- Have good English skills.
- Students with prior contracts or stipends at HZDR within one year before July 2026 are not eligible.
🗓️ Application Process
1. Complete the Application Form
- Provide personal details, study status, GPA, and university information.
- Confirm enrollment between July–September 2026.
2. Specify Availability
- Indicate your intended stay (6–9 weeks).
- Presence during the mandatory lecture period (27 July – 28 August 2026, weeks 31–35) is required.
3. Select Research Topics & Work Type
- Rank your preferred research fields.
- Choose whether you want experimental, theoretical, or both types of work.
4. Add Optional Details
- Briefly describe your education, research interests, and special academic skills.
5. Submit Required Documents
- CV (in English, PDF).
- Academic records (in English or translated).
- Student ID (image file).
- Other relevant documents (optional).
6. Provide Recommendation Letter
- A professor or senior scientist must submit a recommendation letter assessing your academic performance.
7. Submit Application
- Application period: 24 November 2025 – 22 February 2026.
- Notifications of acceptance/rejection: End of April 2026.
