💰 Benefits of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme

Candidates seeking admission as new full-time PhD students in the following eight universities are eligible to apply, regardless of their country of origin, prior work experience, or ethnic background:
- City University of Hong Kong
- Hong Kong Baptist University
- Lingnan University
- The Chinese University of Hong Kong
- The Education University of Hong Kong
- The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
- The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
- The University of Hong Kong

🗓 Application Date and Process
How to Apply:
- Submit an Initial Application online through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme Electronic System (HKPFSES) to obtain an HKPFS Reference Number by 1 December 2025 (Hong Kong Time 12:00:00).
- Apply for PhD admission to your desired universities using the HKPFS Reference Number.
- You may choose up to two programmes/departments at one or two universities for PhD study under HKPFS 2026/27.
- Ensure compliance with the admission requirements of the selected universities and programmes.

- Deadlines for applications to some universities may immediately follow the Initial Application deadline. Submit your Initial Application as early as possible to allow sufficient time for university applications.
