β Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Received a bachelorβs or masterβs degree within the past few years.
- Interest and Experience:
- Strong interest in one or more of the approved policy issues.
- Prior experience with public-interest activism or advocacy is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Excellent academic accomplishments.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Career Aspirations:
- Considering a career in international peace and security issues with public-interest organizations, the Federal Government, academia, or media.
- Citizenship:
- U.S. Citizens: Eligible to apply regardless of location.
- Non-U.S. Citizens: Must reside in the U.S. and possess a U.S. work visa for the duration of the fellowship. Non-U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. are not eligible.
