📖 About Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology Graduate Scholarship

The GIST University South Korea Scholarship is open to Master’s, Master’s Leading to Ph.D., and Doctoral Degree programs. Applicants from all around the world are eligible to apply. Unlike many universities in South Korea, GIST does not require an application fee. All international students are granted the GIST Scholarship without any separate application.

The scholarship includes tuition fees, meals, accommodation, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and a flight ticket.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants from all countries can apply.
• An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Korean bachelor’s degree.
• All required documents must be submitted.
• Meet the admission requirements.

📄 Required Documents

• Official degrees and transcripts (or notarized copies).
• Two letters of recommendation with signatures and stamps of the recommenders.
  • Recommenders do not need to send the letters independently or separately.
• Official English language test report.
• A copy of the applicant’s passport.

2. Step 2: The International Admissions Coordinator will contact you once the application and all required documents are confirmed. (Check "My Status" in the online application).
