π Benefits of the Program
The program offers two funding streams:
- Stream 1: Up to $5,000 for projects aligning with at least one program objective.
- Stream 2: Up to $10,000 for projects aligning with both program objectives.
β Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Organizations must be based in Alberta and be:
- A non-profit organization.
- An Indigenous government, tribal council, band council, settlement, or not-for-profit Indigenous organization.
- Applicants currently receiving other grants or funding from the Government of Alberta must be up-to-date on all required reporting.
- Universities, colleges, or institutes (as defined under Albertaβs Post-Secondary Learning Act), for-profit organizations, and arms-length municipal or municipal district-affiliated organizations may apply in partnership with an Indigenous or ethnocultural organization.
- Organizations must:
- Have a clear understanding of the project and how it contributes to the grant program's goals.
- Provide a clear budget and timeline for the project.
- Ensure the project starts on or after April 1, 2026, and is completed by March 31, 2027.
- Demonstrate the capacity to undertake the project.

- A detailed budget (template provided).
- Direct deposit information (mandatory).
- A sample financial statement.
- Optional partnership/reference letters.
